Sandu: Productive conversation with Vucic

CHISINAU - Moldovan President Maia Sandu said on Wednesday she had had a productive telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about security aspects in Moldova and that Chisinau would continue to cooperate closely with Belgrade to prevent threats to Moldova's security.

"Had a productive phone call with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on security aspects in Moldova. We'll continue to closely cooperate with Serbia to prevent threats to Moldova's security," Sandu wrote in a Twitter post.

Sandu also congratulated Serbia on its Statehood Day.

Earlier, the press office of the Serbian president said in a statement Vucic and Sandu had expressed mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of their countries, as well as interest in development of Serbia-Moldova bilateral ties to mutual benefit.
