Djokovic begins record 378th week at top of ATP rankings

BELGRADE - Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic on Monday began his 378th week at the top of the ATP rankings, setting an absolute record in the category in both men's and women's tennis.

Djokovic surpassed Germany's Steffi Graf, who spent a total of 377 weeks in the world number one spot.

Martina Navratilova is in third place in the absolute rankings with 322 weeks, and is followed by Serena Williams (319), Roger Federer (310), Pete Sampras (286), Ivan Lendl (270), Jimmy Connors (268), Chris Evert (260) and Martina Hingis and Rafael Nadal (209 each).
