Djokovic beats Hurkacz to reach Dubai semis

DUBAI - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, is through to the semi-finals of the Dubai ATP tournament after defeating Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 6-3, 7-5 on Thursday evening.

Djokovic won after 102 minutes of play and is now 5-0 head-to-head against Hurkacz.

Djokovic will next face the winner of the tie between Russian Daniil Medvedev and Croatian Borna Coric on Friday.

Germany's Alexander Zverev and Russia's Andrey Rublev will play in the other semi-final.

The prize money in Dubai is 2,855,495 dollars.
