US vaccination requirements set to be lifted, Djokovic to be able to play US Open

WASHINGTON - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, will be able to compete at the US Open this year after the US government announced on Monday it would lift all COVID-19 vaccination requirements for international travellers on May 11, when a coronavirus emergency in the country is set to end, Reuters has reported.

The agency noted that Djokovic had missed major tournaments in the US due to being unvaccinated against COVID-19 but would be able to enter the country from May 12 and play at Masters tournaments and the US Open.
