Djokovic cruises past Varillas to advance to Roland Garros quarters

PARIS - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Roland Garros quarter-finals after crusing past Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 on Sunday.

World number three Djokovic won after an hour and 58 minutes of play and Varillas, who ranks 94th in the ATP rankings, won only seven games in the match.

In the quarter-finals, Djokovic will face Russia's Karen Khachanov, who beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego.

Djokovic has an 8-1 head-to-head record against world number 11 Khachanov.
