Mali: Belgrade to be centre of world during EXPO 2027

BELGRADE - EXPO Belgrade 2027 will hugely contribute to development of Belgrade and Serbia, it is a great honour to Serbia and it will be the biggest-ever event hosted by the country, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Wednesday, noting that Belgrade would be the centre of the world over the course of the three months of the expo.

Mali was chairing a session of a coordinating team tasked with monitoring the hosting of EXPO 2027, to be held under the theme of Play for Humanity - Sport and Music for All between May 15 and August 15, 2027.

Mali, who previously also headed a working group overseeing Belgrade's bid to host the event, said all members of the coordinating team faced a great amount of work and that one part of activities would focus on construction of facilities and the other on organisation itself, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
