Vucic: Brussels discussions ended with no success, we accepted EU proposal
BRUSSELS - Speaking to reporters in Brussels after Thursday's high-level meeting of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said discussions to find a clear path to normalisation of relations had ended with no success.
"We all have our proposals - the (ethnic) Albanians have theirs and we have ours. In the end, we, as Serbia, accepted an EU compromise proposal, (Pristina's PM Albin) Kurti did not want to accept it and the meeting concluded," Vucic said.
"It is clear that Kurti is avoiding the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities, and that is the essence of everything. Serbia is not shunning its obligations but we, as well as the EU, said what the hodogram is and how things must go. We accepted their (the EU's) proposal despite the fact it was not easy for us in any way, while Kurti refused, and that is how it all ended,"...
