Mali: Serbia has fulfilled all recommendations for fighting financial crime

BELGRADE - Serbia has fulfilled all 40 recommendations issued by the Council of Europe body on fighting financial crime and money laundering, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Wednesday.

"We have performed better than all other countries in the region and EU member states that are our neighbours. Croatia and Bulgaria are on the grey list and we will see how Montenegro will fare. Albania has only just met some expectations, while Serbia has fulfilled all 40 recommendations," Mali told Pink TV.

"That is very important for Serbian citizens and shows that our system is transparent when it comes to fighting corruption and financial crime," he said.

"This is a huge success for all of us because it means we are more attractive and safer for investments, which means new jobs, new investments and a better future," Mali said.
