Pristina court sentences Kosovo Serb to 13 years in prison for alleged war crime
PRISTINA - A Pristina court on Friday sentenced a Kosovo-Metohija Serb to 13 years in prison for an alleged war crime against civilians during the 1999 conflict in Kosovo-Metohija.
Dusko Arsic from the Maticane village near Pristina was found guilty based on an indictment that alleged he was involved in forced expulsion and displacement of civilians in Pristina and its vicinity between January and June 1999 and looting and burning of houses owned by ethnic Albanians.
Arsic was arrested at the Jarinje administrative crossing in December 2021 after coming to Kosovo-Metohija to resolve the issue of his usurped property in Maticane.
The conviction may be appealed within 30 days.
