Concern over intentions of winning bidder for Faliro Sports Hall

March 15 is the fast-approaching deadline for the lease tender of the Faliro Sports Hall, where the 2004 Olympic tae kwon do events took place, and its neighboring land zone located in front of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, conducted by the Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD).

However, strong concerns are being raised by the tourism sector, as well as the exhibition and conference industry, about the uses to which it will be put by whichever organization wins the tender.

The iconic architectural stadium is considered the last available space in Athens for large exhibitions and conferences of international standards.
