Filipovic: Serbia-NATO cooperation important for peace in Kosovo-Metohija
BRUSSELS - Serbia's Ambassador to NATO Branimir Filipovic says Serbia-NATO cooperation has been "continuously very good", with a high level of communication at various levels, and that it is very important for preserving peace and security in Kosovo-Metohija, NATO being the only legal military force in the territory under UNSCR 1244.
"The Serbia-NATO partnership cooperation is proceeding with the usual dynamic based on the principles of partnership, which include voluntariness, inclusivity and transparency. And, most importantly, it is based on the needs of the partner countries. Serbia's present partnership cooperation with NATO is a continuity of our cooperation since 2006, when Serbia became a member of NATO's Partnership for Peace programme," Filipovic told Tanjug in an interview conducted in Brussels.
