Vucic receives Egyptian ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Egyptian Ambassador to Belgrade Bassel Salah on Tuesday to discuss the most important bilateral issues and plans to be made more concrete with his counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during an upcoming visit to Egypt.

Vucic and Salah also discussed global challenges and their implications for international relations.

"I noted that Serbia and Egypt represent the pillars of stability and development in the Western Balkan region and the Middle East, respectively, and that, in that sense, too, our cooperation is hugely important in the broader geopolitical context," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.

He added that, for that reason, he hoped Egypt would continue to honour Serbian interests in international organisations.
