Vucic: Serbia Tomorrow election win almost incredible

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday evening the victory of the Serbian Progressive Party-led Serbia Tomorrow electoral list in the June 2 local polls was "almost incredible" and unprecedented, and noted that the opposition had suffered a landslide defeat.

"The victory of the Serbia Tomorrow list is almost incredible and I congratulate them on that. Those results have never happened in the history of Serbia and I believe they will never happen again, especially not in local elections, although it is hard to expect anyone to be that dominant at national level either," Vucic said in an appearance on the RTS.

He noted that there was no need to rush when it comes to forming the local authorities in some cities and municipalities but that it would be good to launch the process in Belgrade as soon as possible.
