The Paris Olympic medals will be carried in Louis Vuitton trays

At the Paris Olympics, the medals will be presented on Louis Vuitton trays, covered with the house’s signature Damier canvas. LVMH, a leading partner of the Paris Olympics, unveiled the design on Tuesday. They also revealed 1920s-inspired uniforms for the 515 volunteers selected by the Paris 2024 organizing committee to present the medals.

Antoine Arnault, the group’s head of communication, image, and environment, introduced the presentation held in the penthouse of the Bulgari Hotel in Paris, stating, “Like all French people, we are watching the evolution of the country’s political landscape, but nothing will dampen our enthusiasm ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

With 24 days until the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, Arnault expressed confidence in the event’s success. “The very essence of the Games is to be a moment of truce, a global event that brings together countries, people, and different beliefs,” he said. “This cooperation will not be affected in any way by the political climate in France.”

After unveiling the medals created by the house of Chaumet, the clothing for the France team designed by Berluti for the opening ceremonies, and the trunks for the medals and torches produced by Vuitton, the team presented the unisex uniforms for the volunteers. These uniforms, chosen by national sports federations across France, include a polo shirt, wide-leg trousers, and a traditional Gavroche hat, all inspired by the 1924 Paris Olympics, which marked the birth of sportswear.
