Djuric: Number of Japanese companies in Serbia growing year by year

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met with Japanese Ambassador to Belgrade Akira Imamura on Thursday, noting that Serbia and Japan had marked the 140th anniversary of their friendship in 2022 and that the long tradition of bilateral relations lent an impetus to further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

The parties said an upcoming visit to Serbia by Japanese FM Yoko Kamikawa would be an opportunity to exchange views on matters of importance for further strengthening of Serbia-Japan ties, especially in the economy.

Djuric said the number of Japanese companies operating in Serbia was growing year by year as they had recognised the good business environment in Serbia, which he noted was a result of a serious policy conducted by the Serbian government over the past ten years.
