Secret Service agents quickly removed former President Donald Trump from the stage after he fell at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. There seemed to be blood on his right ear as he was escorted away. The Secret Service is currently assessing the incident and has not confirmed if the noises were indeed gunshots.

Loud bangs were heard before Trump fell. Agents then helped him to his feet, and there was blood on his face. He shouted back at the crowd and raised his fist before being taken off the podium.

Trump was subsequently moved to a vehicle, and the area was evacuated.

Donald Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, stated that the former president “is fine.”

“Trump thanks law enforcement for their swift action during this heinous act. He is fine and is undergoing a check-up at a local medical center. More details will follow.”

Donald Trump is safe following an incident at his rally, according to Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service.

Journalists at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where former President Donald Trump was hurriedly taken off stage, reported hearing “a series of loud explosions or bangs” before Secret Service agents rushed towards Trump.

Biden briefed on the attack

President Joe Biden has also been briefed on the incident at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania, according to the White House.

“There is a growing concern in law enforcement circles that this may have been a serious attempt on the life of former US President Donald Trump,” US affiliate network NBC News reported, citing two senior law enforcement officials.

Reports of fatalities

Two people are believed to have been killed after a shooting at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania, Butler County’s Atton District in Butler County said, according to reports. FOX News footage shows police officers removing a bloodied person from the stands.

The person believed to have fired at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania is dead, as is a member of the audience, the Butler County prosecutor said.

In addition to the two dead, one other person is believed to be in critical condition.
