Israeli soldiers detained for abusing Gazan detainee at notorious prison

Israel's Sde Teiman prison in the Negev desert has been dubbed "Israel's Guantanamo Bay" due to reports of torture and violations against Palestinian detainees arrested during the Gaza war as 10 soldiers were recently held over for questioning as part of an investigation into the gang-rape of a Palestinian.

In response, hundreds of Israeli protesters, including officials, stormed the prison facility to protest the arrest of the soldiers over the incident.

According to Israeli media reports, Israeli troops deployed in the camp to guard Palestinian detainees have been torturing them for their own amusement.

Israeli Military Police raided the concentration camp arresting 10 troops serving at the site for questioning.

As a result of the raid, a fight broke out between members of the Military Police and Israeli soldiers manning the site.
