Tabakovic re-elected National Bank of Serbia governor

BELGRADE - Jorgovanka Tabakovic was re-elected National Bank of Serbia (NBS) governor by a majority vote in the parliament on Wednesday.

Previously, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic put forward Tabakovic for another six-year term.

In his proposal, Vucic said the move was due to her performance in the position and results in pursuing objectives, including, in particular, her contribution to successful coordination of the fiscal and monetary policies and macroeconomic stabilisation in collaboration with the government and other relevant authorities.

Zeljko Jovic was also re-elected NBS vice-governor.
