Iran issued a NOTAM for the aircraft to change their routes – “We will punish Israel, but we do not want a full-scale war”

NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) advising aircraft to change their routes has just been issued by Iran.

Specifically, according to the Jerusalem Post, Iran issued a NOTAM for the central, western, and northwestern regions of the country, advising aircraft to change their routes.

This development comes a few days after the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. Iran blames Israel for this assassination and vows retaliation.

Fears of a full-scale conflict between Israel and Iran, along with its allies in the region, are intensifying.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, a spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Iran does not want to escalate regional tensions but believes it needs to punish Israel to prevent further destabilization.

“Iran wants to establish stability in the region, but this will only happen by punishing the aggressor and countering the Zionists’ adventurism,” said Nasser Kanaani, who indicated that Tehran’s actions are inevitable.

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry also called on the U.S. to stop supporting Israel, stating that the international community has failed in its duty to protect regional stability and should support “the punishment of the aggressor.”

For his part, the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, reiterated the threat against Israel, saying that “it will receive its punishment in due time.”
