Giorgos Theofanous: Antonis Remos and Konstantinos Argyros at his anniversary concert at the Herodion

Some of the biggest names in modern Greek music, including Antonis Remos, Konstantinos Argyros, Christos Dantis, Peggy Zina, Kostas Makedonas, Evridiki, and Pitsa Papadopoulou, will gather on the evening of October 11th at the Herodion to honor Giorgos Theofanous, the creator who gave them some of their greatest hits.

Prolific composer and lyricist with numerous beloved songs to his credit and significant collaborations, Giorgos Theofanous will celebrate his 35 years in Greek music with this concert, the proceeds of which will go towards the charity “Together for Children.”

He will be at the piano, musically accompanying the performers in a program that includes the most well-known songs he has contributed to the Greek repertoire over the years, many of which have stood the test of time.

The Cypriot composer will be joined on stage by a 14-piece orchestra and over 100 choir members from the children’s choirs of the Municipality of Dionysos, the Church of Saint Barbara in Argyroupoli, Cantus Atenas, and Con Anima of the Ergani Association.

The choir members will also debut a new song, with music by Giorgos Theofanous and lyrics by Thanos Papanikolaou. This song is inspired by phrases written by the children of the “Together for Children” association in their notes and drawings and is dedicated to the children of the world.
