Athens Flying Week: The cutting-edge F-35s are stationed in Tanagra

At the Athens Flying Week – Tanagra International Airshow in Tanagra, for the second consecutive year, the ultra-modern F-35s will be on display for the Greek public to get to know them.

The F-35 that will come to Greece will be on static display and will be accessible to spectators.

Following the first participation of the US F-35s at last year’s Athens Flying Week, with Captain Christin “Beo” Wolf defying the laws of gravity by pushing the fighter to its limits, the 5th generation aircraft are returning to Tanagra, this time coming from neighboring Italy.

Those who come to the 114 Battle Wing on the weekend of September 14 and 15, where Athens Flying Week is hosted, will have the opportunity to see the impressive F-35 up close and have their photo taken with it.

The F-35 is the most modern fighter aircraft with “stealth”technology that makes them almost invisible to enemy radar. In addition, they still have sensors and radars that synthesize information from the battlefield giving the pilot full situational awareness of the operational situation.

A few weeks ago, Greece officially joined the F-35 club and by the end of the decade will have the first of a total of 20 5th generation fighters that will be based at the 117 Battle Wing of Andravida.
