“Ramstein Flag 24”: NATO exercise with 140 warplanes in Andravida
From September 30 to October 11, over 140 fourth- and fifth-generation fighter jets, including F-35s, F-16Vs, and Rafales, will arrive in Andravida for the major NATO exercise “Ramstein Flag 24.”
This high-level exercise, organized by the Hellenic Air Force, will feature missions from 13 NATO member countries. Designed for a complex and dynamic operational environment, the exercise aims to enhance the tactical decision-making capabilities of NATO’s Joint Forces.
The primary objective is to strengthen cooperation and interoperability among NATO members, demonstrating the alliance’s determination, commitment, and capabilities.
During “Ramstein Flag 24,” two Spotters Days are scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, and Tuesday, October 8, allowing photographers from around the world to capture images of the military aircraft.
NATO’s AIRCOM has adopted the Flag concept for its primary training event, and Greece will host the first edition, with participation from over 140 fighter and support aircraft from 13 allied nations.
