Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ speech at the UN Summit in New York

With a speech at the Future Summit, meetings with Jewish organizations and Arab leaders, the first day of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ program begins in New York.

In his speech, the Prime Minister first thanked the countries that had taken the initiative for this summit.

He stressed that the task is not easy and the stakes are very high

The Future Summit is being initiated by Secretary-General Anthony Guterres and is part of the UN’s broader efforts to address critical global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, economic instability, human rights, digital governance and threats to global peace and to reform the international system to make it future-ready.

The summit builds on the UN’s 2020 Declaration on the 75th anniversary of the international organization and aims to reinvigorate global cooperation.
