Middle East: Iran signals that it will not let any of “Israel’s criminal acts” go unanswered

The intention of Iran to leave none of Israel’s “criminal acts” unanswered, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Qanaani asserted during his weekly briefing for reporters, referring to the Israeli attack that killed Hezbollah leader Shayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards in Lebanon Abbas Nilforusan.

“We are maintaining a firm stance and will act in a way that will make the enemy repent,” he said, adding that Iran is not seeking war but is not afraid of it.

The spokesman also said Iran was following developments with the authorities in Lebanon.

Speech from Hezbollah’s deputy chief

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Hezbollah deputy leader, Naim Kassel, will deliver a speech at 12:00 local time, the organization’s press office said.

It is the first speech by a Hezbollah official since the assassination of the organization’s Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike last Friday, September 27.
