Taxi owners appeal POS directive

[InTimeNews]

Taxi owners' associations have appealed to the Council of State, Greece's highest administrative court, against a ministerial decision mandating that all taxis display POS stickers on their back side windows.

The directive, issued by the Economy Minister, requires a special sticker to be placed in the bottom right corner of the back side windows to indicate the presence of a POS machine. It also introduces a fine of 1,000 euros for non-compliance.

Taxi owners are seeking to overturn the decision, arguing that placing the sticker in this specific spot creates a safety hazard by obstructing the driver's view.
