Turkey announces naval exercise in Aegean Sea

Turkey will conduct a naval exercise in the Aegean, Mediterranean and Black Sea between October 21 and 25, Turkish Defense Ministry spokesperson Zeki Akturk said on Thursday. 

"The DENİZKURDU-I exercise has been planned to be carried out in the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean between October 21-25, with the aim of executing the operational readiness training of our Naval Forces, observing the efficiency of command and control and improving joint interoperability," the Turkish Defense Ministry announced in a post on X.

According to Akturk, 92 ships, seven submarines, 15 aircraft, 14 helicopters, and 22 drones will participate in the exercise, which will feature live fire.
