Vucic: Serbia to get investment-grade ratings from Fitch, Moody's as well

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a Serbia-Japan business forum in Belgrade on Thursday Serbia would by the end of this year get investment-grade credit ratings from the Fitch and Moody's rating agencies as well.

"This is the largest Japanese business delegation to ever visit our country," Vucic said at the forum, attended by more than 100 representatives of Japanese companies.

Vucic said there were things Serbia could boast of, including that it had finally obtained an investment-grade rating from Standard and Poor's.

"We will receive confirmation from two more companies, Fitch and Moody's, and that will happen by the end of the year, very quickly, but there are also other good things," he said.

Vucic noted that Serbia's debt-to-GDP ratio was 46.5 pct, or half of the EU's average debt-to-GDP ratio.
