ALCO poll: ND rises, PASOK as main opposition, SYRIZA continues downward trend
A recent ALCO poll reveals a shifting political landscape, with New Democracy (ND) maintaining its lead and nearly half of the electorate believing there is no alternative government proposal. The poll was presented during the central news bulletin of Alpha.
The findings show that PASOK has gained strength following its leadership election, now enjoying a positive image among 42% of voters. In contrast, SYRIZA has plummeted to 6.5% in voting intentions based on valid ballots. The ALCO survey indicates a potential eight-party parliament, with several parties hovering around the 3% threshold.
The ND is reported to have climbed to 25%, reflecting its performance in the upcoming European elections, while PASOK stands at 15.3%. Notably, SYRIZA voters are showing support for the re-election of their leader, Stefanos Kasselakis.
This new political context highlights the ongoing challenges for SYRIZA as it faces significant declines in voter support.
