Kifissia: Volunteer firefighter complains that he was thrown off a bus because he was wearing… boots

Following the incident of the young man who was forced to get off a bus because he was carrying his cat in a special bag, yet another complaint about driver behavior comes to light.

It all started on Saturday morning (19/10) at a Kifisia stop when Stavros got on the bus 509 through the front door to go on duty since he is a volunteer firefighter.

The young man claims he validated his ticket and then the driver asked him to get off because he was wearing – as all volunteer firefighters – because he would… spoil the floor.

“I swiped my card and went to sit down. He asked me “Where are you going?” And I said “I’m going to sit down Mr. Driver, did I do something?”. He said “you can’t get on the bus, please get off” and I said “what for?” And he said “Because the boots will damage the floor“,” Stavros complained to SKAI.

“It was one of the new buses. I told him that if I got off I would be late for my service,” he said. According to him, he also showed the uniform to the driver saying he was a volunteer fireman but told him to “get down.”

“At that moment I “froze”. First thing in the morning to take the bus to go to your service and have the driver say that to you?”
Spananchan added.

The young man said he got off and immediately contacted OASA and narrated the incident but… they didn’t believe him.
