Olympiakos, led by Fall, started the game better, but the home team quickly responded with a 9-0 run, taking a 11-6 lead (5′). Some rushed decisions on offense kept the score close, with Edwards and Voigtmann contributing to maintain the difference (13-8, 7′). However, Vezenkov consistently answered from the low post, and when Papapetrou entered the mix with 5 points, the score changed to 18-19 (9′).
