Traffic delays as holiday travelers return to Athens

Heavy traffic is reported on the Athens-Lamia highway as travelers return from the October 28 "Ochi Day" holiday weekend.

Major delays are concentrated near the 208th kilometer by Thermopylae, where lane restrictions due to roadwork are slowing traffic, according to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.

Congestion is also impacting the Athens-Corinth highway and areas around Yliki Lake in Viotia.
