Pfizer’s expansion in Greece

With approximately 550 people in its workforce, and the goal of reaching 650 by 2025, the Pfizer Center for Digital Innovation (CDI) in Thessaloniki runs over 250 global projects, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to quantum technology, with the aim of even contributing to the acceleration of new drug discovery. At the same time, Pfizer is launching further investments in Thessaloniki to expand its facilities by 3,000 square meters by 2026.

"Many kinds of digital solutions are being developed, while we also support the drug discovery process using AI. With these solutions, it is also possible to test molecules even in a digital environment," pointed out Nico Gariboldi, head of Pfizer in Thessaloniki and head of the CDI, during a press briefing at the company's digital hub.
