Poor night in Europe for the Greeks

Thursday was a difficult day for Greek teams in Europe, with Olympiakos dropping two points at home to Rangers, while PAOK and Panathinaikos lost on the road.

Olympiakos drew 1-1 wth Rangers in Piraeus for the Europa League, paying for its sole error in the game.

The Reds went ahead on the 56th with Ayoub El Kaabi, but the Glasgow team equalized eight minutes later thanks to Cyril Dessers. Olympiakos now has seven points from four games.

For the same competition PAOK went down 2-0 at Manchester United, having failed to transform its chances into goals while the game was still scoreless.

Two goals by Amad Diallo in the second half condemned PAOK to another loss, with the Greek champion having just one point from four matches.

For the Conference League, Panathinaikos wasted its first-half lead to lose 2-1 to Djurgarden in Sweden.
