Traffic restrictions in central Athens for 41st Authentic Marathon

Traffic restrictions have been in effect in central Athens since Thursday due to the 41st Authentic Marathon, which is expected to conclude late Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, the marathon route will follow Marathonos Avenue to the Panathenaic Stadium, passing through Mesoghion Ave, Michalakopoulou St, Vasilissis Sofias St, and Irodou Attikou St, among other areas, from 9 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.

Additionally, a 10 km race will be held on Sunday from 8:15 to 10:20 a.m., starting in Syntagma and ending at the Kallimarmaro Stadium. The route will include Vasilissis Amalias St, Panepistimiou St, Trikoupi St, Akadimias St, Vasilissis Sofias St, Fidippidou St, Mesogeion Avenue, Michalakopoulou St, Vasilissis Sofias St, and Irodou Attikou St.
