Djuric congratulates Rubio on nomination for next US state secretary

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric has congratulated Marco Rubio on his nomination for the next US secretary of state.

"Congratulations to Senator Marco Rubio on his nomination as the next US Secretary of State. We look forward to building on the strong ties between Serbia and the United States and working together on shared priorities for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Balkans and beyond," Djuric wrote in a post on X on Wednesday.

US President-elect Donald Trump nominated Rubio, a Florida senator, for the position earlier in the day.
