Greek shipping vital for global supply chain

While addressing the "The Great Oceans Dialogue" in New Delhi, organized for the first time by the Indian Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Observer Research Foundation of India, Greek Shipping and Island Policy Minister Christos Stylianides referred to Greek shipping's leading role as a catalyst for the support of the global supply chain and prosperity, as well as the protection of maritime safety and security, especially in crucial sea corridors.

Stylianides also referred to the need to enhance international cooperation both bilaterally with India as well as in the context of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) against the modern challenges relating to decarbonization and digitalization, attracting young people to the maritime profession and the need to specialize and develop the skills of seafarers.
