Chrysochoidis says that Pangrati arms cache was regularly accessed
Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis stated on Thursday during an interview with Skai TV that the recently discovered arms cache in Pangrati had been regularly accessed.
"These materials were well-preserved, indicating that the site was regularly accessed," Chrysochoidis explained. He added that the weapons had been stored at the site for many years and confirmed that police are actively investigating the case.
"I don't think that this particular finding is connected to the explosion in Ampelokipoi, but in matters of terrorism, you never say never," Chrysochoidis stated.
Greek police uncovered firearms and explosives during a search of a storage unit in the central Athens neighborhood of Pangrati on Tuesday. Among the seized items were ANFO explosives, gelignite, two to three firearms, and several computers.
