Pangrati arms cache suspect granted extension to testify

A man arrested in connection with a storage unit containing firearms and explosives in Pangrati, central Athens, was granted time on Friday to prepare his testimony, scheduled for the following Tuesday.

The 49-year-old suspect was detained on Thursday after police identified him through ATM transaction footage. A warrant was issued for his arrest on charges that include two felonies and one misdemeanor. Specifically, he is accused of illegal possession of grenades and firearms intended for use in the commission of a felony, possession of explosives that could endanger human lives, and unlawful possession of weapons.
