Greece questions effectiveness of ICC arrest warrants for Israeli leaders

Greek government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis on Tuesday questioned the effectiveness of the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant, calling the action "a decision that will solve no problem."

"These decisions do not help," Marinakis said, emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza.

He rejected parallels between Israel and other nations, stating, "We cannot equate a state that suffered a terrorist attack, in this case by Hamas, with nations that initiated attacks, such as Russia in Ukraine."
