Shooting outside Athens cafe leaves one injured

A 43-year-old man was shot and injured in the early hours of Wednesday in the Athens suburb of Vyronas.

According to reports, the incident took place shortly after midnight, when two individuals on a motorcycle approached the man, a taxi driver, as he was leaving a cafe/bar.

One of the assailants opened fire, injuring the victim, before both fled the scene.

The 43-year-old was shot in the hip and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
