Six arrested in connection with Lavrio cash delivery van robbery

Police announced on Thursday the arrest of six individuals in connection with the armed robbery of a cash delivery van in the port town of Lavrio, southeastern Attica, last September.

Among those arrested were two employees of the company responsible for transporting the money, including the van's driver. The total amount stolen was 1.5 million euros.

The robbery occurred in the afternoon outside a toy shop, where the perpetrators seized 15 bags full of cash before fleeing. At the time, the driver claimed he had been threatened by the robbers.
