Two Turkish nationals indicted for deadly shooting in southern Athens

A prosecutor indicted two Turkish nationals of Kurdish origin on Tuesday following a deadly shooting in the Glyfada suburb in southern Athens on Monday morning, which resulted in two fatalities and left one person hospitalized.

The suspects, aged 39 and 32, face charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder and illegal weapons possession.

Authorities say the incident occurred during a confrontation, although the exact motive remains unclear. The accused men were arrested shortly after the attack.

They will be given time to prepare their defense before appearing before an investigating judge, according to Greek legal sources.
