Greece’s 2025 budget focuses on tax cuts, jobs and fiscal responsibility
Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis began the daily press briefing on Monday noting the passing of the 2025 state budget and observing that "Greece is continuing on a path of responsibility and not mortgaging the future of the next generations. We will not return to the dark days of bankruptcy. Secondly, emphasis is given to boosting the income of citizens, with the reduction of another 12 taxes… Our aim for yet another year is to reduce the gap between Greece and Europe and to create more and better-paid jobs. Thirdly, the budget replies in the best possible way to the just demands of all citizens but also specific professional and social groups," he said.
