Djedovic Handanovic, Hyundai representative discuss construction of solar plants
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic met with the director of the Hyundai Engineering office in Belgrade Li Sung on Friday to discuss construction of self-balancing solar power plants with a capacity of 1 GW and battery systems for energy storage.
The minister said building such plants across Serbia was one of the "largest renewable energy projects in Europe and one of the most significant projects in the Serbian energy sector."
"It will ensure more green energy in our system, which is extremely important for businesses and citizens, as well as for boosting the security of supplies," Djedovic Handanovic said.
She said the project would provide the national power company EPS with the largest power generation capacity when it comes to renewable sources, further strengthening its position as a key producer of green energy....
