Glyfada unveils coastal cycle path as part of waterfront revamp

Glyfada's coastal redevelopment includes the completion of a 3.5-kilometer waterfront cycle path, with an additional 2.5 kilometers of connecting routes set to follow.

Mayor George Papanikolaou emphasized the transformation: "The 3.5-kilometer horizontal route along Glyfada's coastline is complete, and work is progressing on 2.5 kilometers of vertical paths right by the water's edge. These enhancements include pedestrian and cycle paths, newly planted trees, and greenery. Soon, the area will also feature open sports fields and play areas for children. Residents and visitors can already enjoy a modern seafront walkway, an international-standard cycle path, and other improvements that have revitalized the entire coastline." [AMNA]
