Serbia's urban plans on internet by end of year

BELGRADE - USAID signed a memorandum on understanding with the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ) to set up electronic register of urban plans in Serbia which will be put into operation by the end of the year.

The memorandum was signed by Chief of Party of the USAID Business Enabling Project Joe Lowther and RGZ Director Zoran Krejovic.

GI SDP: Suspend dialogue until gov't guarantees are accepted

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Members of the Citizens' Initiative "Freedom, Democracy, Justice" (GI SDP) noted on Friday that there were no grounds for the court's decision to extend detention on remand for their leader Oliver Ivanovic, and added that the court in Pristina thus violated the basic human right of the detainee to be released pending trial.

BRUSSELS - NATO supports the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) in its present format, which does not envisage its use as a combat unit; it was stated at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Serbia in group with Montenegro, USA, South Africa

CANCUN - Serbia's national water polo team will compete at the FINA Water Polo World Cup in Kazakhstan this summer in the Group A with Montenegro, the U.S. and South Africa, the draw in Cancun decided on Friday.

Group B comprises Croatia, Hungary, Australia and Kazakhstan.

FINA World Cup will be held in Almaty from August 19 to 24.

Spanovic, Kolasinac to take part in World Championships

BELGRADE - Serbia's long jumber Ivana Spanovic and shot putter Asmir Kolasinac will take part in the 15th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics, in Sopot, Poland, on March 7-9, Serbian team coach Slobodan Popovic has said.

Home detention ordered for Zarko Veselinovic

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Zarko Veselinovic, one of the four Serb detainees in Kosovo-Metohija, has been put under house arrest, attorney Dejan A. Vasic, a member of his defense team, said on Friday.
