Premiere performance of Spanish national ballet in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Ballet Nacional de Espana (Spanish national ballet) will perform in Belgrade for the first time on March 28, providing an opportunity for the Serbian audience to see a live performance of the dance featured in the masterpieces by Spain's legendary film director Carlos Saura “Carmen” and “Flamenco, Flamenco”.

Photo exhibition on Nizhny Novgorod opens

NOVI SAD - An exhibition of photographs by Darko Dozet, titled Nizhny Novgorod - the rudder of Russia, opened late Monday at the Cultural Centre in Novi Sad.

On around 50 large photographs, photojournalist Dozet captured his view of Nizhny Novgorod, a twin city of Novi Sad.

Opposing views on Kosovo in UN

NEW YORK - In the meeting on Kosovo held at UN Headquarters in New York late on Monday, Serbia's outgoing Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said that any debate referring to potential change in the scope and mandate of EULEX should not bypass the UN Security Council, having in mind that UN serves as an umbrella organization for the international presence in KiM.

PM: Mitrovica polls to go ahead despite atmosphere of fear

URS submits slate for snap parliamentary poll

BELGRADE - The United Regions of Serbia submitted on Monday its slate, entitled Let's Work and Live for the snap parliamentary election on March 16.

The first name on the slate is that of URS leader Mladjan Dinkic, follwed yb Sasa Milenic and Verica Kalanovic.

URS Vice Preisdent Suzana Grubjesic is 6th on the list.

EP delegation confers with SPS officials

BELGRADE - A delegation of the European Parliament (EP) headed by President of the group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the EP Hannes Swoboda visited the Socialist Party o Serbia on Monday, and the talks at the end of the meeting covered the current political situation.
