Tourist visits to Belgrade up by 12 percent in January

BELGRADE - A total of 36,295 tourists visited Belgrade in January 2014, which is by 12 percent more than in the same month in 2013, the data of the City Institute of Informatics and Statistics show.

New city assembly to decide on Tesla's urn

Cuprija to get new factory, 500 jobs after 40 years

Fest to welcome famous actor Franco Nero

BELGRADE - The 42nd International Film Festival Fest will welcome world renowned actor Franco Nero in Belgrade on March 8, the distribution company Tuck Vision has announced.

He will attend a premiere of "Dark Sea" (Mamula), the horror movie he is starring in, at Centre Sava at 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Serbian military team completes tour with EU NAVFOR

DJIBOUTI, BELGRADE - The Serbian Armed Forces first autonomous team for protecting ships from pirates, which participated in Operation Atalanta of the EU Naval Force (NAVFOR), completed its tour of duty with NAVFOR on Tuesday.

A ceremony was held at the French base in Djibouti to mark the end of team's tour and they were presented with medals for their work with NAVFOR.

Serbia wins gold at European Shooting Confederation

MOSCOW - The women's shooting team of Serbia won the gold medal in the air rifle team competition at the European Shooting Confederation in Moscow on Wednesday.

Serbia's team broke the European record scoring 1,247.1.

The great success was made by Ivana Maksimovic, Andrea Arsovic and Dragana Todorovic.

Ivanovic: I do not feel safe, they want to discourage me
