AEJ: Don't Fall For Media Manipulations

In an open letter to the public, the Association of European Journalists (AEJ) – Bulgaria urged the society not to trust dubious media sources.

Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has announced Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as its presidential candidate, with an official logo bearing striking resemblance to that used in U.S. President Barack Obama’s campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

New EU Parliament re-elects Schulz as leader

BRUSSELS - The European Parliament has elected German center-left politician Martin Schulz as the assembly's president.

Schulz, who also served as president of the Parliament from 2012 until earlier this year, was re-elected Tuesday with a majority of 409 votes of the 723 ballots cast.

BELGRADE -- Serbian Parliament Deputy Speaker Gordana Ćomić has been elected rapporteur of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly.

This is the second time that she has been elected to that office.

German Socialist Martin Schulz elected new EU parliament president

German Social-Democrat Martin Schulz was elected on Tuesday to head the European Parliament in the first session since elections in May.
      
Schulz, outgoing president of the last European Parliament, won 409 votes for and 314 against or blank ballots, in a session that was marred by eurosceptic opposition.
      

Kosovo police bans Marko Djuric from entering Kosovo

LEPOSAVIC – The Kosovo police banned Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric from entering the territory of the province at the Jarinje crossing Tuesday.

Djuric said that it was a flagrant violation of the agreement on freedom of movement and of all the principles that had been agreed in relation to the matter.
