Solve fate of missing persons, ensure justice for victims
BELGRADE - Members of several associations of families of refugees and missing persons from the territory of former Yugoslavia marked the International Day of the Disappeared in Belgrade on Saturday, and repeated their requests concerning a closure for the fates of their loved ones and a fair prosecution of responsible individuals.
Traveling on public transport in Athens gets cheaper
Commuters will pay 20 cents less for tickets allowing them to use all modes of public transportation in Athens as of Monday, though they will be valid for 70 minutes rather than 90 as was the case previously.
The new ticket, priced at 1.20 euros, allows passengers to use the capitals fixed-track network, buses and trolley buses for a period of 70 minutes.
DIMAR chief Kouvelis hints about presidency
As the government seeks to play down rumors about its choice of candidate for president, with the term of incumbent Karolos Papoulias set to end in February, Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis rebuffed rumors that he has been approached but did not explicitly rule out in his interest in the role.
